How To Keep Blonde Hair Bright
Blonde hair may look glamorous, but when you’re not born with golden locks, hair maintenance can be quite a struggle at times. The sad truth is that dyed blonde hair doesn’t stay bright forever, and few, if not none, like
In today’s article, we’ll show you some tips and tricks on how to keep blonde hair bright!
1. Limit your washes
Washing your hair too often can cause your hair color to fade much faster. By limiting the number of times you’re washing your hair, you’re actually lengthening the time that the color stays on your strands.
2. Don’t use hot water
Hot water increases the risk of your hair becoming dehydrated. If you really can’t shower with cold water, you can use lukewarm water instead. Just make sure that your water isn’t too hot whenever you shower and you’ll be fine. For best results, end your shower with a cold water rinse for your hair!
3. Protect your hair from the sun
The sun’s harsh rays can make even the most gorgeous strands look dry and washed out. If you want to keep blonde hair bright, stay out of the sun as much as possible. You can always use an umbrella, a hat, or a scarf in case you really need to go outdoors. Be sure to include hair sunscreen in your daily hair regimen too!
4. Choose products for colored hair
There are many products that are specifically formulated for different types of hair. Using one that doesn’t match your own won’t harm your hair, per se, but it certainly won’t be as effective. If you’re going to choose a hair product, double-check if the formulation is suitable for dyed hair first.
6. Use purple shampoo or toner
If your hair is already becoming brassy, the best quick fix is purple shampoo or toner. Here at ZALA, we have the Cool Down Hair Extensions Toning Shampoo, which you can also use for your natural hair.
