5 Things to Know About Your ZALA Hair

1. Checking the shade, length & thickness

5 things you need to know about your ZALA hair

First off, open up your ZALA package and take the set out of the ZALA box/plastic slip, keeping the hygiene tag/seal around the top of the extensions intact (just in case you need to return them). To check the shade, hold your ZALA’s underneath your natural hair to check the ends of your hair work well with the extensions.

To check the length, hold the set up against your hair near the widest part of your head. This should give you an idea of where the extensions will sit once applied.

We offer 7 different lengths and over 20 beautiful shades. We are confident there will be the perfect set for you!

2. Can't find a shade that works for you? Yes, you can tone or dye your ZALAs! However, there are a few important things to keep in mind

Because we use premium quality 100% Real Human Remy Hair, it can be toned or dyed like your own hair! ZALA hair takes well to colouring: you can tone the hair if you need to remove some warmth, dye them a bright colour or a few shades darker if you need.

HOWEVER -  please do not bleach or lighten your ZALA’s, This is because they have already gone through a long process to get to their gorgeous shade! If you need to tone them or dye them darker, always test the product on 1 piece first. However, if you're not confident dying hair, it’s best you visit your hairdresser so that you end up with your perfect shade.

This is just a guide and you can always apply pieces where you feel you need them. Some apply their full set, some only just a few pieces. It just comes down to your preference and what works best with your hair.

4. Wetting your ZALA hair will make it look even thicker!

Once your ZALA’s arrive, you’ll notice how amazingly soft, silky and straight they are. This is because they have been industrially straightened and given a conditioning treatment! This will make the hair look and feel lovely, but when comparing it to an old, used set, it might appear a little thin.

Don't worry though! This is normal with a brand new set and once you wet your ZALA hair, it will fill out and get much thicker. If you want to give the set a little boost, just give it a quick spray with clean water, let the hair air dry and style as desired.

5. Trimming and cutting your ZALAs will give the most natural & undetectable results

When you receive your ZALA hair, you will notice they are thick to the very bottom! This is because our sets are double drawn to ensure the hair extensions have luscious, thick and healthy ends.

Your ZALA’s will be ready to be applied straight from the pack. However, some find they prefer a more layered look and therefore trim their extensions to taste. This can help to achieve a much more seamless, natural look and help to blend the extensions undetectably with your natural hair.

If you’re not confident cutting, it’s best to visit your hairdresser to get your ZALA’s cut & layered with your natural hair.
